Is Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder? Beauty has been classically defined as whatever pleases when apprehended (Thomas Aquinas). Both terms in that description are worth taking into consideration. Aesthetic pleasure differs since it is the pleasure that comes whether a need is fulfilled. Thus beauty is absolute. Christians should get pleasure from only those plain things worthy of pleasure, and what determines that worthiness is conformity to the beauty of God himself.

I’ve done it 8 years in a row & most certainly don’t anticipate stoppin’ now! I’ve a basic notion of a publication I might write for this. But sheesh, that’s 10 months away. I’ll probably change my brain 87 times before then! Despite all my big writer plans, I quite definitely want to unplug more. That’s just not good! I’m thinking I might set a period in the evening (like 7 or 8?) where I have to stop rather than touch the computer again before the next day. And use those hours before bed to, ya know, read or something. This isn’t a good plan. I’m figuring things out still, but it’s certainly something I’d like to try. My natural instinct is to work until I diiiiie. I am not just one to take breaks.
