Beowulf Movie Trailer

Beowulf is a fantasy movie due to be released on November 16th, 2007. Beowulf is based on an old English poem following the Scandinavian warrior Winstone as he takes on the legendary monster Grendel.

The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis who also produced The Polar Express a while back. Similar but improved motion capture techniques used in Polar Express will also be used in Beowulf.

latimes.com have an article dated July 25th, 2007 reporting from the first public viewing of Beowulf at Comic Con in San Diego. Here is an interesting quote from the article Steve Starkey is betting that "Beowulf's" horror-fantasy elements coupled with digital 3-D -- not to mention a digitally enhanced Jolie matched with a heroic Beowulf -- will be embraced by a genre crowd hungry for a big story with big themes that also delivers heaping amounts of cinematic spectacle.

Judging by the images and the trailer this is going to be one spectacular movie, if it's any good we will have to report on a later date.
